I had always wanted to try brayering on one of my embossing folders but since I am a messy crafter I thought it would be too much of a hassle, but this weekend I took a chance:

It worked out okay for a first try and the rest of the card is a bit busy.  The color combo came from the color coach.  I knew I wanted to use Marina Mist, but not so sure of the others.  I think I used the coach in about 20% of my cards!

Today is my sister's birthday- I'll show that card at a later time.

Here's another quick card, using the reverse side of the pieces of Retro Fresh DSP leftover from previous cards.
The flower is from the Summer Silhouette and the Hello is from Teeny Tiny Wishes.
The Tangerine Tango and Coastal Cabana make for a happy, bright card.

I wanted to try a simple color blocking card and add the clay flower embellishment. A woman from our church sends out cards to shut ins, or those who are sick so I need to replenish her supply.
My next challenge to myself is to use these clay embellishments in an unusual or unique card.  That is after tomorrow's card which is already made.

Here's another quick card made for our church's supply of cards.  I did get the inspiration off of the internet, but unfortunately do not remember from whom.  Thank you, though!

I was afraid the whole hexagon craze was over with, but I still like it (background is Pistachio Pudding, it's a little hard to tell) and used the newest in-colors. I snuck in a clay button too.

Okay, I lied.  Well, technically.  The girl designed this Valentine/Get well card for her Grandmother who went through pancreatic cancer surgery and we mailed it to her about a week ago.

She's not one to do any papercrafting so I was excited when she brought the subject up, but I think I'll only get one card out of her.

It's still definitely winter here but my thoughts are with those in the south. southeast and northeast who have been hit with some intense weather as of late.
I no longer make Valentines, but needed a quick birthday card for a friend of the girl.  I decided to get out the flower punch that I haven't used recently.  In the background you may see an envelope.  Yep, I made it with the envelope punch board but since I'm still not very good with it, I don't waste my Stampin' Up! DSP with it (I use paper I've collected over the years).
The top of the card has a little embossing on it to add some interest.

Here are a couple of pages for the HS band scrapbook.  The red on the Marching Band page is the glitter paper available from Stampin' Up!--it is a beautiful red. I made the mask on the last Jazz Band Page. I knew that craft store I have downstairs would come in handy some day.
